RFVHC member looking for a ranch wedding location in the valley for a client on June 19th 2021. We would really love to find a private ranch looking to allow a rental for the day for ceremony and reception. Wedding will be overseen by wedding planner to ensure timely and mannerly set up, rentals, cleanup and overall organization. We are well aware of popular venues, but would love to find a hidden spot, even someone's feild with a view that we can use! This will be a low key, locals wedding. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or would consider hosting the wedding on your property. Thank you!
All COVID event regulations for that time will be followed. Please email marissa.taccia@eventsworthgiving.com or call/text 817.944.6622.

Experienced horse person looking to work in exchange for riding, or possibly housing. I have 20 years of experience working with horses. I have cared for 50+ stall barns ranging from Standardbred racing barns, to Eventing barns. I have groomed and been a working student for a Grand Prix barn in IL.
I know the importance of feeding horses at the same time every day and how to tell if they are colicing. I am currently a scientist at the Mayo Clinic and know a lot about paying attention to detail and vet care. I can give shots, do syringes and fix abscesses, etc.
I have owned horses, but can’t afford to at this time. I horse sit for my parents a few times a year, and can learn just about anything. My riding experience was mostly in eventing, but for the past 10 years I have only ridden as a hobby and mostly trail ridden.
For the past 3 years I have been working with a paralyzed woman and helping her ride/ take care of herself.
I am looking to ride for fun, to get strong enough to take some lessons and truly benefit from them. I can provide at least 3 references.

Looking for a horse to lease for Summer 2019, at 6’ 212 lbs, I’d prefer a gelding of at least 1200/1250 lbs.
Contact Aaron Abelman aaronabelman@gmail.com Aaron is a RFVHC member
Here’s my horse background:
1986-1996 : volunteer horse wrangler at Mayan Dude Ranch in Bandera, Texas. I fed, mucked, saddled and trail rode. Summers.
1996-2005: summer job horse wrangler at Mayan Ranch. Led and dragged trail rides as well. Tamed new horses.
2005-2008: full time wrangler Mayan dude ranch. Did above plus some farrier work.
2001-2011: undergrad and grad school volunteer at conners carriages and occasions outside Tallahassee, FL. After school riding and weekend trail guide.
2017: partial lease of Jasper - Oldenburg cross gelding for trail riding twice a week.
October 2017-oct 2018: part time to full time ranch hand at Windwalkers in Missouri Heights. Rode very rarely.
October 2018-dec 2018: ranch hand at smiling goat ranch in Carbondale. Fed, mucked, lunged, and rarely took a dressage lesson geared toward Horse Boy Method.
My goal is to be riding trials for pleasure ASAP and since I have not owned yet I believe the logical step would be to lease first. I’d love to have a horse for the summer to ride at my leisure. I can board onsite or commute to a nearby property. I am financially capable of lease terms. I can provide tack if needed. At 6’ 212 lbs, I’d prefer a gelding of at least 1200/1250 lbs.

Pam Burke saddlesore@hwy2.com Hi,
I breed Cleveland Bay horses along with friends at www.bearpawbays.com
and we are looking for a stallion, Tregoyd Borrower, that we heard might
be standing in Colorado. Other than the youtube video from 2011 that
shows him and his name, we have come up dry with online searches. In a
hail mary pass, I'm writing to see if you know of the horse and owner,
know someone we might talk to in the search, or another direction to search.
You can pass my name and email on to others who might have input on this
quest.

May Submissions
This may help someone: My property is available for rent by June 1 and I would love a family with up to 4 horses. I am cross-listing it in the valley as it hosts a 4 bdrm house. Please let me know~my girlfriend tells me it can be tough to find a great place to live that will also host your animals. 970-366-6987. Thank you! Briget Kelly
We received notice that a local just purchased on older trail gelding and is looking for a creative boarding solution. DO YOU NEED help with horses, dogs, goats, etc a few hours per week in exchange for free, pasture boarding? El Jebel to Aspen. More info soon!
I'm looking for two ponies or small horses to use over the summer with my grandchildren. They've been riding my mule 3 days a week and are ready to start riding out on the trail with me. I'd happily board them with my mules at Sopris Mountain Ranch, or at your property. Feel free to PM me with details of what you have that might be suitable for us. We had to put one our mules down today, and there are three heart broken kids here....plus one grandama. It would heal our souls a little to find some new equine friends. :) My number is 970-319-5343. Thank you!
Thanks so much! Signa Strom
April 2019 Submissions:

I am selling my English saddle. It's a Courbette, 16" all-purpose, leaning towards dressage. It's been well taken care of--cleaned and conditioned regularly. I LOVED this saddle, but I simply don't use it anymore!
Price $850. Pictures are available. Stirrups are included.

You can pass my name and email on to others who might have input on this
quest.
Thank you,
Pam Burke

Hi there!
My name is Belle Jurgensen. I’m an Aspen native currently enrolled at CSU in the Equine Science program. I have taken this spring semester off and am now back home for a bit. Im hoping to bring back a 3 year old filly the 3rd week of April. I’ve been looking around for a smaller scale- perhaps private facility that I might be able to board her at while I continue with her training. I have been involved with all the larger boarding operations and am just not sure what else I might be missing so I thought you guys may have more resources or a better idea of any possible options.
Thanks so much, For more info for Belle contact us at RFVhorsecouncil@gmail.com
