Jasmine Pierce - Membership Chair
Jasmine is the co-owner of Crystal Gardens, a family owned landscaping business based in Carbondale. She has been in the Roaring Fork Valley on and off since 1993 and embraces all the valley has to offer; trail riding, running, cycling, hunting, skiing, camping, hiking with her dogs and much more. Throughout college Jasmine worked for the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as a Wildland Firefighter on the Rifle Helitack (helicopter initial attack), this job reignited a childhood a love for helicopters, but the dream of flying was put on hold. After graduating college with a marketing degree Jasmine headed off to NYC for a "real job" and was lucky enough to spend a few years working for a regional sports magazine. It was during that time she was introduced to triathlon and ultra running which allowed her to travel around the world for events. After four years in NYC Jasmine knew it was time to start flying, so she jumped in head first and moved to South Africa, along with her dog, Monty, to start flight school. After completing her private pilots, commercial pilots and flight instructor ratings she worked for a South African helicopter company flying photographers, tours, loads of platinum for the Volkswagen factory, and teaching students to fly. The work was a dream come true for Jasmine, however, the economy changed and the work dried up so Jasmine moved back to the Roaring Fork Valley and bought her family landscaping business and has been creating beautiful container gardens and landscapes ever since. The new grounded business allowed Jasmine to have horses in her life again, and she filled up the pasture quickly with her varied herd of Quarter Horses and Appaloosas. One of her newest addition is a coming three year old Appaloosa gelding, DZS Dreamin Son, better known as Hobbs. |
